27-31 October 2009  Climate Change in Magellan and Antarctic Regions: Evidence and Challenge for the Future Punta Arenas, Chile

The Patagonian region and the Antarctic Peninsula are among the areas that have experienced the most dramatic regional climate changes in recent times. This colloquium is a chance for researchers, students, government authorities and other interested people to share their knowledge and their ideas about this important topic.

11-22 January 2010 International Summer School for Observing, Assimilating and Forecasting the Ocean Perth, Western Australia

This program is offered to early career scientists, professionals and students, and focuses on the current state of the art in operational oceanography and related advances in the ocean sciences. The course curriculum will include topics covering the leading edge science in ocean observing systems, as well as the latest methods and techniques for analysis, data assimilation and ocean modelling.

8-12 June 2010 International Polar Year Oslo Science Conference Oslo, Norway

The Oslo Science Conference will highlight the interdisciplinary and multinational efforts in research and in communication of research to the public that was accomplished during IPY, with an especial focus on the global impacts of the research. Participants will present early scientific results from all of the IPY themes. Special programs are also being planned for early career researchers and educators.
